Comes from a smoke-free home. It did and should work with 4 AA batteries also which are not included. Comes to you in very good pre-owned condition. The battery compartment is in pristine condition.

I have tested it with the ac power cord and works beautifully. I have not tested it with batteries as do a camera to test on anymore. Vintage Zeny. 280 solid state electronic flash for 35mm camera with power cord and Styrofoam box.

There may be some very minor signs of use but looks nearly new.
