The Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N is a Nikon-compatible radio trigger that offers several features for photographers. Here are some pros and cons that may help you decide if this trigger is suitable for your needs:
Pros:1. Compatibility: The Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N is specifically designed for Nikon cameras, ensuring seamless integration and communication between the trigger and the camera.
2. Radio Triggering: This trigger uses radio waves instead of infrared to communicate between the trigger and the flash, allowing for a wider range and more reliable triggering, even in challenging lighting conditions.
3. TTL and Manual Modes: The Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N supports both TTL and manual flash modes, giving photographers the flexibility to choose the best exposure method for their specific shooting conditions.
4. Multi-Flash Capability: This trigger supports multi-flash capabilities, allowing you to take multiple shots with a single press of the shutter button.
5. Power Management: The Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N has an intelligent power management system that helps extend the battery life of your flashes.
Cons:1. Limited Number of Channels: This trigger only supports 32 channels, which may not be sufficient for photographers working in busy environments or large studios where multiple photographers are using radio triggers.
2. No Built-In Receiver: The Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N is a transmitter-only device, meaning you'll need to purchase separate receiver units for each flash you want to control.
3. No Built-In LCD Screen: The trigger does not have a built-in LCD screen, which may make it more difficult to adjust settings on the fly or quickly check the status of your triggers and flashes.
In conclusion, the Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N is a solid radio trigger for Nikon shooters that offers reliable TTL and manual flash control, a wide range, and multi-flash capabilities. However, its limited number of channels and lack of a built-in receiver or LCD screen may be disadvantages for some photographers.
If you're looking for a budget-friendly radio trigger for Nikon cameras with good compatibility, TTL and manual flash support, and a reliable triggering system, then the Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N could be a good choice for you. However, if you require more channels, a built-in receiver, or an LCD screen, you may want to consider other options in the market.
Overall, the Flashpoint R2 Pro II-N is a solid investment for Nikon shooters who want a reliable and affordable radio triggering system.
I know it turns on and that the guy said everything worked fine. Came w/ a lens I wanted so ended up with both and just don't use triggers, or flashes for that matter. What you see is what get. Google for specs.
I m not really familiar with how it should work. Screen is scratched but you can't tell when its back lit.
